Adirondac Goldens = Superior Pheasant Hunters
At the end of yet another successful hunt yesterday, Bill Provencher says "I don't care what anybody says about Golden Retrievers, our dogs ALWAYS find the birds! Even on days when other people say there are no birds out there, I always get my limit."

Credited with an assist
SAR Dog Twist (Gypsy x Push) was credited with assisting me on a live find of an 83 year old Alzhiemers sufferer who had been missing for 24 hours in late August of this year. I believe it may have been the sound of the bells on her vest that caused him to cry out thereby getting my attention to locate the gentlman. On October 10th at an open house, the Eureka Volunteer Fire and Ambulance of Stewartstown Pa. presented her with a Unit Citation.
Wisconsin Adirondac Boy picks up first SH ribbons at "home" in NY, July 2009
Adirondac Reddog Ruger CDX RN JH (Juneau x Hoya) got his first 2 SH ribbons at the Finger Lakes Retriever Club test July 11-12. These were my first two senior ribbons EVER! I drove over 800 miles with two dogs (no other humans) in a small car to get there, but it was well worth it. My first senior ribbon was handed to me (along with a big hug) by my special friend and Ruger's co-owner, Carol--and another one the next day! How special is that??
Hope to be there again in 2010!

Adirondac Goldens made a spectacular field trial showing at the 2009 Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty recently held in Enid, Oklaho
Top billing goes to Adirondac Tea For Two (Gypsy X Cooper) owned by Tony Zappia, who beat derby dogs from across the nation, handled by Megan Baker. Megan and "Tea" first met about two weeks before the event, and Megan had to agree with Tony's advice, "point her in the right direction and let her go"... This win is a huge accomplishment for Tony, Megan and me as we're all amateurs and none of us have taken the "Blue" at a National Specialty before.
Over in the Amateur stake, Steve Low and his Adirondac Code Red son, Lacrosse Adirondac Co-Pilot took the reserve JAM (5th place) out of 55 entries, at 3 years of age!
The big stake, the Open, was won by FC Porjay's CrackerJack Surpriz, whose dam, Porjay's Sydney was one of my puppies out of Tigathoe's Omega.
